Our History

Seventeen students, one burden to pray

PILLARS — Physiology Intercessory Life Lifting And Revival Squad — was founded on 2 March 2012 at Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Nigeria, by 17 pioneer members. What began as a small circle of Physiology students gathering to intercede for their department has grown into an international fellowship of students and graduates.

Motto and scripture

Let Righteousness Prevail

“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”
Proverbs 14:34

That verse is not a slogan — it is the assignment. PILLARS exists so that righteousness prevails first in the individual student, then in the lecture hall, the campus, the profession, and the nation.

Registered and accountable

Structure you can trust

PILLARS is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria. Registration gives the fellowship a formal, accountable structure: an official ministry account for all giving, documented leadership succession, and financial oversight through the Financial Secretary offices at every tier under the Board of Trustees.

How PILLARS is structured

One Board, two arms

Everything sits under the Board of Trustees, made up of the 17 pioneer members. The Board holds the vision, appoints leadership, and oversees both arms of the fellowship.

Students Arm

Current students, led from the class upwards: Level Coordinator → School President → National President → International President, each tier supported by a Financial Secretary and a General Secretary.

Patrons Arm

Graduated members — Patrons — who stay joined to the fellowship: State/Province Coordinator → National Coordinator → International Coordinator, keeping Patrons connected to one another and supporting the students coming behind them.

The full Board roster, the Presidents of each school and the Patrons Coordinators for each state and country are recorded inside the app for signed-in members.
